FPL Friday Open Thread
2 close 2 call...but plenty of Breaking News Updates
Big news to start: Lucas Digne is back following his (reduced) ban. James Rodriguez is back following his unfortunate injury. Anthony Martial is back following his (not reduced) ban. Alex Telles is also training but it looks like another week of Luke Shaw. Jordan Pickford will resume starting between the sticks for Everton, much to the relief of Manchester United. The OFPL locked about three seconds before I confirmed my transfers so I still don’t have Reece James or Digne in my squad. And finally, Thiago will not pass fit but Diogo Jota is fully training leaving Liverpool’s newest marksman in good shape for the start away to City in an intriguing clash.
Chelsea, meanwhile, will have enforced rotation instead of this scattershot crap Frank Lampard has been pulling. Hakim Ziyech era ready to begin in earnest.
Being perfectly honest, this is the first time I’ve ever been happy to see FPL on a Friday and getting not one but TWO matches back-to-back will be the best distraction. I’m cracking an early pint, flipping over to the football and will be answering EVERY question posted today. I’ll answer anything - need a book recommendation? I got ‘em. Looking for a fun vacation spot? Suns out, guns out. Want to file for parental emancipation in a difficult jurisdiction? I can provide non-biding, non-legal advice that might work strictly by chance!
As always this is open to everyone and if you’d like to get everything grab a subscription. This week has been slow but there is a new Inside The Ranks post coming tomorrow and Mid-season Ranks will be available the week of Thanksgiving (US).

What do you think about Diangana's prospects going forward? Dropped this week, more an experiment that a permanent thing? As my weakest midfielder, I'm looking at available players and wondering if I should try and swap him for available pickups Sander Berge or Solly March/Gross from Brighton. Overreaction?
Just wanted to say I enjoy your work and this community you got going. My question: what are you drinking today?
