Hi Gaf,

In a 12 team Fantrax league, debating on dropping Solly for possibly Cooper or S Armstrong … is March still worthy of holding onto? Considering Cucurella, Veltman and now Lamptey are all there as well.

I think March is a streaming only option at this point; when he’s in Brighton’s XI he’s a strong match-up play but I think he’ll lose starts and value very quickly when the full team is fit.

Evening John

OFPL Draft question. Current midfield:

Sterling, Mahrez, Raphinha, Bailey, Maddison.

Would you consider dropping Maddison for Smith-Rowe?

Thanks

I would truly hate to drop Madders for anyone but given what you’re dealing with you’re going have to drop *someone* for ESR and his regular minutes.

I still think there is a more clear path to Maddison recapturing his starting role and g/a which hands him a decent bit of value. But holding both Sterling and Mahrez is a requirement because you’re getting some value out of each most weeks. I’m hate yo drop Bailey too - yeah IF you can’t trade Maddison for something better than ESR it’s fine to make that move; worst case Maddison is back next week and across the season he scores 1-2 more goals than Smith Rowe for the rest of the season.

Hey John, what do you think of a trade involving Trincao for Tielemans? I have Trincao and he's been pretty good but I think I can get a good M for him. I am critical in the midfield and I have 4 Forwards to hegde against the loss of Trincao.

yeah you make that deal and don’t look back. Tielemans is suffering because the Foxes are suffering but his role in that team is so important to their success and breeds draft fantasy points.

Gaffer...I know you swore off judging Norwich assets...but what do you think about Billy Gilmour? He's scored pretty well last week and he's on set pieces.

I wrote about him somewhere but he’s not getting it done against anyone in the top 6; Gilmour

remains a viable streaming option off your bench against everyone else if you don’t mind holding him. 10 points against Liverpool, Leicester and City total. 15 vs Watford. That’s his niche and I’m happy to have him for those matches.

Cheers gaffer...and what do we do about Mahrez?? Is he worth holding currently??? No idea whether he reclaims his spot from Jesus..or he's going to just sit on the bench and play the midweek games

I don’t see a world where Riyad Mahrez is relegated to *only playing off the bench in UCL matches* but if he’s on the fringe of the squad and used in the lesser cups that is abysmal for his FPL managers. I still do not trust Ferran Torres as a major part of this rotation but it looks like Pep does and I’m wrong. When the next updated of the Top 100 drops later this week Mahrez is falling about 10 more spots.

Gaffer - what do we do with Olise?

Timo Werner is a free agent in our 12 team league and I want to take a flier on the fact that he looks so good and creates so well for CHE, even if he isn't gonna play much. That said, I've got G. Jesus, Antonio, Ings, D. Gray and Gross.

I wanted to stash Olise or pick up Jacob Ramsey/Timo/W. Boly... I know it's a long season but the waiver wire saved my season last year so i'm trying to be savvy. The woes of being 0-2 (we decided to draft after transfer deadline day).

Timo is a free agent? Yeah I would be willing to add him for free but you don’t need a FWD5 so unless you’re able to trade one of those FWD for a regular starting MID1/2 I’d want to hold only Groß and Olise (who should be fully back and in the starting XI any week now).
